My Honest Journey to Declutter and Organize (And Why I’m Inviting You Along for the Ride)

Can we just have a moment of real talk? My house is…well, let’s just say it’s been living its best cluttered life for a while now. Between the kids’ art projects, toys that somehow multiply overnight, and that drawer (okay, drawers) where everything gets shoved when company comes over—my home has been feeling more overwhelming than cozy lately.

I’ve always wanted to be that mom who has everything in cute labeled bins, with closets that spark joy, and a kitchen counter that isn’t buried under mail and random hair ties. But life, you know? It happens. Fast. And the clutter just sort of sneaks in when you’re busy keeping little humans alive and juggling all the things.

But lately, I’ve been feeling this tug in my heart to finally tackle the chaos and create a home that feels lighter, calmer, and more intentional. I don’t want to spend my days tripping over laundry baskets or wondering where the scissors went (again). I want to feel like my home is working with me, not against me.

So…I’ve decided to start this journey of decluttering and organizing—slowly, imperfectly, but with my whole heart. And here’s the thing: I want to take you along with me.

Why?

Because I know I’m not the only mom who feels like she’s drowning in stuff sometimes. And I’ve learned that when we share our messy middle moments—not just the Pinterest-worthy after pics—it makes all of us feel a little less alone.

I’ll be honest: I’m no Marie Kondo. I don’t have a color-coded system (yet). But what I do have is a willingness to learn, try, fail, and find what actually works for our real, lived-in family life.

So in the weeks ahead, I’ll be sharing:

Little wins (like finally conquering that scary hallway closet)

What’s working for me (and what definitely isn’t)

Budget-friendly organization hacks

And honest reflections on how decluttering is affecting my mood, my family, and even my parenting

If you’ve ever felt like your house is one overflowing basket away from chaos, I hope you’ll grab a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine, no judgment here) and hang out with me on this journey. Let’s swap ideas, cheer each other on, and remind ourselves that progress matters way more than perfection.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about having a magazine-worthy home—it’s about creating space to actually enjoy our lives in the middle of the beautiful mess of motherhood.

Are you in?

Let’s do this together, one drawer, one pile, one step at a time.
